Great winter cycling tights
By Tom Ryan
I bought these tights to augment an earlier model of the AmFIB tights I have for my one-hour-each-way commute. I find that these tights are a little bit thicker and more wind resistant that the old tights. They keep me warm in single digit temperatures and they are particularly good for cold rain, sleet, or snow. They are very breathable and even when the temperature gets up to 40 degrees, there is no chance of becoming overheated in them. I highly recommend these tights for cold and wet weather riding.

Preliminary Review: Inseem Length
By S
This is a preliminary review since I've only had the opportunity to wear these tights a few times, always above freezing.
(1) I've got around a 31 waist, 32 inseam, and bought these tights in size Medium. I like the fit, except the legs are not long enough to tuck into my winter road cycling shoes (Northwave Celsius), so there's a little chill between my boot top and the bottom of the tights. The design would in fact be smart for tucking in: there's an elastic cup at the bottom of the zipper which holds the zipper pull upright so it doesn't chafe against the boot and your ankle. Too bad it's not long enough. I would then guess that if you can go for a larger size, you'll get the benefit of a longer leg.
(2) Especially as a consequence of the leg length, I wear bike shorts underneath these even though they come with chamois. I might anyway since the tights don't seem to stay as tight up into the crotch as bike shorts do, (I'd like to hear how others experience this), and in really cold weather the extra insulation would probably be welcome anyway. Moreover, I don't want to have to wash the whole bike tight every time I come from a ride, so wearing the bike shorts underneath is practical anyway. I prefer and use a very thin chamois (Aerotech Designs ProShort), but the redundant chamois in the tights isn't bothersome, or even really noticeable.
I've given these four rather than five stars because of the leg length. For many people that won't be an issue.
More to be said when the winter attacks.

Good thick material
By Bruce Wayne
Have worn these while mountain biking in the 20's and 30's (F) and they are very good. These are heavier tights than my other Izumi's and are my new go-to for riding in freezing temp or below. As far as sizing I'm 6'1, 205 lbs and wear the XL.
